Thimiru

Thimiru (2006) is a Tamil film directed by debutant Tharun Gopi. The film stars Vishal, Reema Sen, Shriya Reddy, Kiran, I. M. Vijayan, Manoj K. Jayan and Vadivelu. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film has become one of the front runners in 2006. It is produced by GK Films Corporation. The film was subsequently dubbed in Telugu as Pogaru and was a runaway hit in Andhra Pradesh too after its release on October 13 2006.












Thavamai Thavamirunthu

Thavamai Thavamirundhu (2005) is a Tamil feature film directed by Cheran. It is a penetrating and artistic depiction of familial bond, underscored by a set of life value messages. It explores the father-son relationship, and particularly charts the travails an Indian father goes through in raising his sons. The feature was moderately received at the box office compared to Cheran's previous work, Autograph.

Saravana

Saravanaa (2006) is a Tamil film directed by K.S. Ravikumar. The film stars Silambarasan and Jyothika. This film was a high-budget production and the soundtrack was composed by Srikanth Deva. This love story is set in the backdrop of a village war starring Prakash Raj, Vivek and Nagesh. It enjoyed relative success. Sandakozhi (2005) is a Tamil film directed by debutant Lingusamy. The film stars Vishal, Meera Jasmine, Rajkiran, Lal and Suman Shetty. Autograph (2004) is a Tamil feature film directed by Cheran. The film's soundtrack is composed by Bharthwaj. Cheran also plays the lead role in the film, and other cast members include Sneha, Gopika, Kanika and Mallika.

The film was released in India in February 2004, and was screened at the Lyon Asian Film Festival in France and at the Montreal World Film Festival in Canada. Upon release, the film met with critical acclaim and commercial success.

Anniyan (Aparichithudu in Telugu; Aparichit in Hindi) is a high-budget 2005 Tamil movie. It was the first Indian movie to be dubbed into French and then released worldwide in French-speaking countries. Columbia Tristar had recently acquired the French dubbing rights. The film was a mega-blockbuster playing for 240 days in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and 150 days in Kerala. Furthermore, Anniyan was dubbed to Hindi as Aparichit, though it didn't make a success mostly because of the bad dubbing(from rediff.com): "Now I want to watch Anniyan. Aparichit could have been a super entertainer, but the disastrous dubbing robs the film of its flavor, reducing it to a merely enjoyable watch.

The movie stars the actors Vikram, Prakash Raj, Sadha, and Vivek. The film is directed by S. Shankar of Gentleman fame. The score and soundtrack, composed by Harris Jayaraj, was released on April 27, 2005. The motion picture took over two years to complete (2003–2005). The film was the most expensive Tamil feature film made of a the year, costing Rs. 263,800,000.
